Comet Baseball Remains Undefeated

The Varsity Comets improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating Momence 12-2. Trevor McLaughlin earned the win on the mound allowing just two hits in 4 shutout innings, while striking out 8. Jack Stellano threw the final two innings, giving up one hit and 0 earned runs with four strikeouts. Gavin Grace led the way offensively with a 3 hit game, adding two stolen bases. Jack Stellano added two hits, while Caleb LaGrange chipped in a hit and 3 RBI. Nate Smith, Trevor McLaughlin, and Danny Fierro rounded out the offense with a hit a piece.

Another combined shutout for the JV Comet baseball team, this time it was Joel Hunt and Danny Shepardson. The offense came out swinging with Hunt and Robbie Fordonski having 3 hits each. John Cowie, Hunter Doherty and Andrew Catoire had two hits each and Clayton Newbrough and Jarrett Godwin both had one hit. Comets beat Momence 16-0 and move to 2-0 on the year.
