Dynamic Defense Dominates Dwight


It was a close call in last night’s Varsity volleyball game against Dwight with the Lady Comets coming out on top in 3 games – 12/25, 25/17, & 25/21. With as many aces (10) as missed serves, the team stepped it up both offensively and defensively. Junior outside hitter Maddi Tiangco had an outstanding defensive game with 12 digs, 12 serve receive passes and a block. She also had 4 aces and two kills. Madelyn Alton led the team in kills with 11 and added 8 digs, 1 ace and a block. Senior libero, Emily Wolf, helped defense as well with 13 digs, 5 kills, and 3 aces.


The Fresh-Soph team dominated Dwight winning 25/14, 25/10. As a team they collected 9 aces. Shaelin Ruzich led the team offensively with 7 kills while Abrey Ricketts led defensively with 6 digs and an ace.

The Lady Comets will travel to Ottawa Marquette on Tuesday, August 29th.
