The Comets beat the Reapers on Thursday night on penalty kicks. On a night when it was evenly matched, the Comets struck first when Bryce Martis made a great run off a pass from Frankie Torres and put it away. With about 3 minutes left in the first half, Plano tied it up. After a scoreless second half and two overtimes, Goals by Collin Cash, Josh Hayden, and Jake Burow were enough to seal the win. Gerardo Fierro made two great saves during PK’s and finished with 10 in the win. The Comets finish the regular season 4-15 and will host Rich East in the Lincoln-Way West Regional play-in game at 11AM on Saturday, October 18th.
