The Reed-Custer boys soccer team held tough in the first half, but fell behind early in the second half to fall to Herscher 8-2. The Comets were right there, answering both of Herscher’s first two goals. Andrew Morrison was credited with the first goal off a corner kick by Bryce Martis. After the Tigers went up 2-1, the Comets struck right back when Matt Lebeda, returning from injury, found Trevor Stevens for his 2nd goal in two nights. The Tigers found one more before half and came out firing in the second half, pulling away early. Eddie Cathelyn recorded 5 saves while Gerardo Fierro had 4. The JV Comets were unable to finish on some quality opportunities, falling to Herscher 3-0. Gerardo Fierro had 5 saves in that match.
