The Reed-Custer High School Track and Field Teams continued its outstanding season at Manteno Friday night. The girls finished 3rd out of 10 teams. R-C was the top Class A team in a field that included AA and AAA teams. The boys team finished 4th out of 11 teams. The boys field included Bradley-Bourbonnais, Lincoln-Way North, and Kankakee. Highlights were Morgan Zacharias setting the new school record in the 400, the winning girls 4X800 relay team of Sarah Kappel, Courtney Welch, Maddie Christensen, and Isabella Sharper, B.J. Bailey winning the 100 and 200, and Nathan Costello winning the 1600. All of our athletes performed well, proven with 19 personal records!!

CHATTER INSTAGRAM PAGEThe senior spotlight winner for the month of January is Luke Leopold. Luke is the son of Robert and Erin Boseo. during his high school career, Luke was involved in basketball, the RC Chatter, and National Honor Society. He was also a mentor for an RCMS student, a student of the month, and was the videographer for football, basketball, and volleyball games.Congratulations to Destanie Nacey, Macy Pfiefer and Lily Kilpatrick on being selected to the I-8 All-Conference Team at the 2019 I-8 Conference Tournament held at Sandwich HS on January 16, 2019. The team earned second place.Antionette Hill is named to the All-Tournament Team in the Lisle Holiday Cage Classic.The five students that represented RCHS at the Joliet Junior College Area High School Art Exhibition this fall were recognized at the board meeting on December 19, 2018. Tami Sarnowski (acrylic paint on guitar), Madison Tiangco (ceramic and fused glass), Jacob Lambert (color pencil drawing), Joshua Neu (mixed media sculpture) and Calla Kmetz (black & white digital photograph).
